Common questions
A widget shows the wrong time or stopped updating.
Widgets update every minute on a schedule iOS controls. If one looks stuck, open Dayside once, then long-press the widget and choose Edit Widget › Done. Widget Diagnostics in Dayside's Settings shows when each widget last refreshed.
How do I add a person instead of a city?
Add a city, open its clock, and give it a name and working hours. You can link a contact to show their photo. Their status (working, free, asleep, off day) follows from the hours you set.
My clocks don't appear on my other devices.
Sync uses your private iCloud. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple Account on each device and that iCloud is on for Dayside in Settings › [your name] › iCloud. Your Apple Watch syncs through your iPhone.
What happens when daylight saving time changes?
Dayside uses the time zone rules built into iOS and alerts you before the gap between two of your clocks changes.
Someone sent me a Dayside link. Do I need the app?
No. Shared times open in any browser and show the meeting in your own time zone. If you have Dayside, tap Open in Dayside to add it.
Does Dayside cost anything or collect my data?
Dayside is free with no ads, subscriptions or in-app purchases, and it doesn't collect any data. See the Privacy Policy.
